Job summary

RealTruck, Inc. in Michigan seeks an Advance Procurement Engineer to translate future product needs into supplier strategies and partnerships. You will collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Product Management, and Supply Chain to shape technology scouting and supplier-led innovations.

You will evaluate supplier roadmaps, manage cross-functional relationships, and support early involvement in new product development, while ensuring cost, risk, and manufacturability considerations are addressed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–7 years spanning Engineering, Product Development, Supplier Development, Advanced Sourcing, Procurement, or Technology Commercialization.
• MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze 3- to 5-year product and technology roadmaps to identify future requirements.
• Identify emerging suppliers, technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes to support future product requirements.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of innovative suppliers capable of supporting next-generation products.
• Lead early supplier involvement initiatives and assess sourcing risks for future technologies.
• Serve as the primary procurement representative within advanced engineering and R&D teams.
• Present findings and recommendations to engineering, product management leadership and executive management.
