Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Pittsburgh is seeking a Procurement Engineer for Lunar Systems to manage sourcing of flight-grade avionics, mechanical and electronic components, and ground support equipment, while negotiating terms and ensuring best-value supplier selections.

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, this hybrid role in Pittsburgh requires a strong engineering or related degree and 5+ years in supply chain, with experience in FARs/NASA requirements preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electromechanical/mechanical/aerospace/industrial engineering, or supply chain with 5+ years in supply chain
• Associate degree in related field with 7+ years in supply chain
• Demonstrated negotiation skills in Terms & Conditions and supplier management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with procurement management and ERP systems

Responsibilities

• Perform sourcing tasks for flight-grade avionics, mechanical and electronic components, and ground support equipment
• Conduct negotiations to secure favorable terms, price, and schedule with suppliers
• Perform source selection based on best-value criteria
• Prioritize and execute program requirements to meet needs
• Interpret engineering data to facilitate communication with suppliers
• Coordinate with Engineering Design on critical component features and alternate parts
• Maintain coordination with internal customers to identify supply chain risks and mitigation steps
