Job summary

Boston College seeks an Associate Director of Procurement Services to lead strategic sourcing initiatives, contract development, and vendor selection across university operations.

You will drive cost optimization, improve quality, and foster cross‑functional partnerships, while developing standardized procurement processes and ensuring compliance in an in‑office role.

You will mentor teams, conduct market assessments, manage RFPs and negotiations, and provide data for budgeting and planning.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of procurement experience, preferably in higher education or large corporations.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced business degree preferred.
• Certifications in procurement/contract management strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and participate in strategic sourcing initiatives and vendor selection.
• Develop standard procurement processes and execution levels.
• Oversee market assessments, RFPs, bid strategy, and supplier negotiations.
• Provide procurement analysis and cost data for budgeting and planning.
