Job summary

Pennsylvania College of Technology is seeking an Assistant Director of Procurement Services to lead complex procurement initiatives, advise college departments, and manage competitive solicitations and contract negotiations. This hands-on leadership role requires ensuring compliance, reducing risk, and maximizing value across college expenditures.

The role involves supervising staff, providing strategic sourcing, supplier management, and operational leadership, with the Director as a key partner

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business, supply chain, finance, accounting, or related field.
• Five to seven years of procurement experience with competitive solicitations and contract administration.
• Experience with ERP procurement systems and e-procurement platforms.
• Leadership or mentoring experience in procurement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead centralized procurement programs and strategic initiatives.
• Manage high-dollar procurements with policy and regulatory compliance.
• Develop competitive solicitations (RFBs, RFPs, RFQs, RFIs) and negotiate contracts.
• Provide guidance on purchasing strategies and supplier management.
• Improve processes, reduce risk, and maximize value of expenditures.
• Mentor Procurement Services staff and deliver training.
