Job summary

The role requires a strong track record in public procurement, strategic planning, and contract compliance, with Georgia licensure and professional certification preferred. You will collaborate with county officials to optimize resources and ensure transparent, compliant procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business, Public Administration, or related field; master's preferred.
• Ten years purchasing/contracting experience, with five years in management for a comparably sized organization.
• Valid Georgia Driver’s license and professional purchasing certifications (CPPB/CPPO or CPSM/CPSD).

Responsibilities

• Leads, directs, and evaluates department staff; oversees day-to-day operations and schedules.
• Organizes, prioritizes, and assigns work to meet objectives; ensures resources are available.
• Develops short- and long-term goals and department plans; assesses needs and workforce deployment.
• Oversees procurement processes, contract compliance, and supplier performance.
• Advises executives and staff; maintains relationships with vendors and county officials.
