Job summary

CRH Americas Materials Inc. seeks a Director of Procurement for the South Central Division. You will lead end-to-end procurement, including strategy, category management, supplier management, and analytics across five states and $1B in spend.

You will build and mentor a high‑performing team, drive disciplined procurement processes, and partner with Finance on savings realization. Travel 30–40%; Houston, TX base preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, or category management experience.
• 5+ years leading procurement teams across multiple locations or business units.
• Experience in a public company and/or large matrixed multinational organization preferred.
• Experience in asset-intensive environments (construction, mining, aggregates) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement for the South Central Division, including strategy, category management, supplier management, and analytics.
• Develop and execute division procurement strategy aligned with CRH objectives to deliver cost savings and efficiency.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiations, contracting, and performance management.
• Strengthen supply continuity and mitigate macroeconomic risks via proactive supplier risk assessment.
• Partner with Finance to forecast and realize procurement savings and ensure value capture in budgets.
• Oversee SAP deployment and standardize Procure‑to‑Pay processes across the division.
• Champion technology-enabled procurement tools for better sourcing and reporting.
