Job summary

DLA Careers is seeking a Procurement Analyst to evaluate and improve procurement processes for the Defense Logistics Agency. The role focuses on analyzing data, developing KPIs, and supporting audits and internal controls across the enterprise.

Responsibilities include leading procurement analyses, implementing P2P process enhancements, and ensuring compliance with FAR and DoD policies. Strong analytical skills and DoD procurement knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent DoD experience as part of Basic Contracting Requirements.
• CAP requirement: 4 years of acquisition experience.
• Specialized experience: lead procurement issues with advisory capacity at GS-13 level or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Federal/DoD/DLA procurement systems, policies, and processes including FAR.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze procurement process issues of high visibility and criticality to the Agency.
• Develop and manage KPIs and metrics to assess initiative outcomes.
• Create and implement guidance for enterprise-wide procurement processes.
• Contribute to Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and internal controls and testing.
• Support audits and responses from auditors and PMO.
• Interpret regulatory requirements affecting procurement and coordinate responses to investigations and audits.
• Utilize procurement knowledge to improve data quality and accessibility for decision making.
