Job summary

Tampa Electric is seeking a Manager of Contract & Purchasing to oversee procurement for ordinary goods, services and major engineered equipment. You will lead the team, drive strategic sourcing, negotiate contracts, manage vendor due diligence and ensure compliance across P2P processes.

This role requires coordinating with legal, finance, risk and safety groups to mitigate contractual risk and deliver best-value outcomes for the organization.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; additional experience can substitute.
• 6+ years in complex procurement functions including contract formation, due diligence and risk transfer.
• Preferred: MBA, MS, JD; CPM/PMP/APICS or similar credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage objectives to ensure effective procurement operations.
• Advise leaders on sourcing, contracting methodologies and due diligence.
• Create processes for administration of procurement contracts and related agreements.
• Drive digital transformation across ERP, CLM and P2P tools.
• Collaborate with legal, risk, finance, audit and safety teams to address contractual risk.
• Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals (6+ direct reports).
