Job summary

LA28 is the independent, non-profit organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Games, focused on creating an unparalleled experience for athletes, fans, partners, and the community. The Procurement team develops and executes sourcing strategies for key categories essential to the Games’ success.

In this role, you will lead end-to-end sourcing, analyze supplier data, and build relationships with vendors while collaborating with stakeholders across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management.
• Experience in supply chain data analysis and translating complex data into actionable insights.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies based on market analysis, internal demand, and supplier capabilities.
• Lead the end-to-end strategic sourcing process, including RFIs, RFPs, and contract negotiations.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and areas for process improvement.
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, and manage supplier performance to meet quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to understand procurement needs and provide expertise.
• Monitor category spending and performance, providing reports and insights to leadership.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure successful delivery of the Games.
