Job summary

Bunzl is seeking a Buyer to execute procurement across categories, regions, and vendors, acting as the primary Bunzl representative to suppliers. The role emphasizes aligning procurement with demand through final disposition and delivering key metrics.

The candidate should have 2+ years purchasing experience, be comfortable in an office environment, and be proficient with Excel and ERP systems to drive informed decisions and optimize supplier performance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of purchasing experience preferred.
• Comfortable working in an office full-time.
• Basic analytical skills and Excel-driven decision making.
• Familiar with ERP systems and basic ordering principles.
• Experience in demand planning, purchasing, freight, or warehousing.
• Proficiency with Outlook and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Execute a queue of Purchasing activities across category, market, region, vendor or customer.
• Align, modify, and perform procurement from demand through final disposition; primary Bunzl supplier representative.
• Communicate effectively with peers and find solutions across replenishment purchasing, operations, and inventory control.
• Deliver budgeted metrics and objectives for the purchasing queue; monitor productivity, value, turns, and overstock.
• Adhere to category management guidelines and ensure preferred vendors and products remain core to buying decisions.
• Maintain vendor relationships including service level and OTIF.
