Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Leaf River Cellulose site in New Augusta, MS is seeking a contribution motivated Buyer to support high-volume, time-critical purchasing of MRO, direct materials, chemicals, parts and services. The role reports to the Purchasing Manager and is onsite.

You will use Ariba, ISNET and AS8, process POs, negotiate terms, ensure compliance with incoterms, and collaborate with internal customers to meet obligations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 2 years of procurement experience in a similar field (e.g. project management, warehousing, accounting, supply chain)
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Word (document creation), Excel (spreadsheets), and Outlook (email and calendar)

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders from requisitions using the company purchasing system.
• Negotiate price and terms, issue RFQs, analyze quotes, and select suppliers based on total cost of ownership.
• Understand and utilize strategic supply agreements to maximize value.
• Collaborate with internal customers to understand requirements and timelines.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental and purchasing policies and procedures.
