Job summary

Quantum Design, Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Buyer to procure materials, components, and services for a built-to-order manufacturing environment.

You will negotiate with suppliers, manage lead times, and maintain cost controls to support production schedules. This onsite role collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, and Quality, uses ERP and MRP systems, and requires strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Two years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with MRP concepts and systems.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain supplier relationships and negotiate costs.
• Generate POs and monitor delivery and pricing.
• Expedite orders and resolve supplier issues.
• Coordinate returns of non-conforming material.
• Support engineering and production with changing requirements.
