Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Buyer to manage sourcing and purchasing for assigned commodities, ensuring supply continuity and best total cost. You will negotiate with suppliers, manage POs, and collaborate with Planning and Quality to resolve issues.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in purchasing/procurement, ERP data accuracy, and cost-reduction experience. Familiarity with SAP and US trade rules is a plus; role is on-site with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; supply chain or engineering field preferred.
• 5+ years purchasing/procurement experience with supplier negotiations.
• Experience managing POs, supplier performance, and ERP data accuracy.
• Knowledge of cost drivers and opportunities for cost reduction.
• Familiarity with US trade compliance and USMCA sourcing rules is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing for assigned materials, components and services.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, contracts and lead times with suppliers.
• Place and monitor purchase orders; track supplier delivery performance.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive supplier development.
• Collaborate with Planning and Quality to resolve shortages and issues.
