Job summary

Poly-America, L.P. is seeking a Buyer to join our procurement team in Texas. The Buyer will lead the purchasing of equipment, goods, and services, manage vendor relationships, and drive strategic procurement across multiple categories to secure favorable terms and timely deliveries.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, strong leadership and communication skills, and experience in purchasing or sales. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with staff across departments.
• Experience in purchasing or sales preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies
• Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
• Assess, manage and mitigate risks
• Negotiate and close deals with optimal terms
• Ensure timely delivery and completion of requisitioned goods and services
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Manage procurement projects and agreements
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management
