Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a procurement professional to manage budgets and contracts for the Wisconsin Reading Center. You will lead complex bids, negotiate terms, and drive cost savings through data analytics and dashboards.

Responsibilities include drafting business cases, supporting business development, and ensuring sponsor collaboration and regulatory compliance, with travel to Madison, WI as needed.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential.
• Advanced Excel skills and financial analysis experience are required.
• Experience with budgeting, bidding, and income forecasting is preferred.
• Experience with sponsor relationship building and contract management is a plus.
• Experience with Smartsheet, Power BI, or Tableau dashboards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and negotiate budgets and contracts with investigators, sponsors, clinical research organizations, and research teams.
• Support business development for the Wisconsin Reading Center.
• Work with sponsors on non-disclosure agreements.
• Create complex bids for potential studies.
• Develop fee-for-service agreements for legal review.
• Review internal and external billing before finance processing.
• Implement reporting protocols for supplier cost savings, reduction, avoidance, supplier management, and risk mitigation.
• Prepare and disseminate business cases and propose strategic sourcing.
• Provide guidance regarding commodities and service areas.
• Draft, submit, and communicate procurement request outcomes.
• Research suppliers, assess market conditions, identify supply options, and make recommendations.
• Develop cost-reduction business cases using data analytics and dashboard tools.
• Lead complex solicitations and evaluate third-party sourcing options in compliance with regulations.
• Develop category strategies using indexes, peer information, vendor information, sales data, and subject matter experts.
• Maintain bid and proposal records.
• Serve as primary contact to external stakeholders, maintain contracts, and negotiate purchase prices.
