Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking a Procurement Analyst to support category management, strategic sourcing, and procurement reporting within SBP's corporate procurement organization.

You will build and maintain spend baselines, analyze market data, and prepare stakeholder-ready summaries to drive savings and value across multiple sites. The role requires strong Excel skills, data discipline, and the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Min 3 years of experience in procurement, operations, finance, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and large datasets.
  • Comfortable using AI to enable tactical tasks.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting sourcing events and negotiations.
  • Preferred: Experience with procurement, spend-analytics, ERP, or contract-management platforms.
  • Preferred: Experience in distribution, manufacturing, building products, or any other multi-site organization.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time.

  • Assist in developing RFP/RFI materials and evaluate responses.
  • Analyze supplier bids and market data to identify savings opportunities.
  • Support supplier onboarding, compliance tracking, and performance management.
  • Maintain category trackers, dashboards, and reporting for program-wide visibility.

Job description

Specialty Building Products is currently looking for a Procurement Analyst to support category management, strategic sourcing, and procurement reporting as part of SBP's corporate procurement organization.

Responsibilities
  • Builds the data foundation that powers sourcing decisions through spend baselining, market analysis, market event support, reporting, and ongoing supplier relationship management
  • Build and maintain spend baselines across assigned categories, andvalidate volume, supplier, and location data
  • Coordinate with branch and functional stakeholders to collect data and validate findings
  • Clean, reconcile, and analyze large datasets to identify sourcing and savings opportunities
  • Assist in developing category strategy materials, fact packs, and stakeholder-ready summaries
  • Support development of RFP/RFI materials, including requirements gathering, bid sheet construction, and response evaluation
  • Analyze supplier bids and market data to identify savings opportunities and negotiation levers
  • Support supplier onboarding, compliance tracking, and performance management
  • Maintain category trackers, dashboards, and reporting to support program-wide visibility
