Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Privacy Program Manager to advance privacy governance, accountability assessments, and data subject rights processing across the enterprise. You will partner with global teams to implement scalable privacy practices and ensure consistent accountability in complex, regulated environments.

The role requires deep understanding of privacy principles, strong stakeholder influence, and experience in lifecycle processes from design to compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in privacy, compliance, legal operations, data governance, or program management.
• Privacy certifications such as IAPP CIPP, CIPM, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead privacy program activities related to accountability assessment obligations and case management for new initiatives.
• Support and drive Privacy Accountability Assessment operating model across jurisdictions and functions.
• Design and maintain work instructions and accountability controls.
• Integrate Privacy Accountability Assessment with third-party security due diligence and privacy-by-design in the technology life cycle.
• Advise data intake, inventory and risk classification boards on privacy matters and best practices.
• Support global DSR and privacy complaints operating model across jurisdictions and functions.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and automate privacy workflows (DSR intake, triage, fulfillment, escalation, closure).
• Support internal audits, external inspections, and governance reviews with high-quality records and documentation.
