Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Privacy Specialist to join the Regulation Technology and Assurance (RTA) team within Amazon's central Privacy organization. The role owns defining control requirements and policy for core programs, driving high-judgment decisions across senior leaders.

The position requires coordinating with TPMs/PMTs, balancing risk with customer experience, and advancing global privacy program maturity across services worldwide.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk management methodologies and process improvement initiatives.
• Ability to solve complex problems quantitatively and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams across geographies.
• 5+ years of experience in privacy, regulatory, or risk and compliance roles.
• Working knowledge of GDPR, ePrivacy, DMA, DSA, US state privacy law and other relevant legislation.
• Experience operationalizing and/or managing global regulatory requirements.
• Record of delivery of regulatory-driven process improvements with technology processes.

Responsibilities

• Define the compliance bar for one or more Privacy compliance programs.
• Document existing technical and non-technical controls and provide requirements to support mature compliance programs and governance.
• Partner with TPMs and PMTs to produce viable technical solutions to compliance challenges.
• Guide leadership in balancing risk management concerns and customer experience while contributing to roadmaps.
• Drive process improvement and coordinate control implementation projects with other teams.
• Apply a working knowledge of global data privacy to articulate customer/control impact.
• Follow developments of privacy laws and communicate key trends to protect customer trust.
