Self Financial is seeking a Principal Product Manager to set strategy for our flagship Credit Building product. You will partner with executive leadership to shape portfolio direction, coordinate with engineering, risk, compliance, and go-to-market teams, and drive product craft across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Product Management experience with strategic ownership of a core product with company-wide impact
• Proven ability to align cross-functional teams and drive outcomes at executive level without formal authority
• Experience operating in regulated or compliance-heavy environments (fintech, banking, payments, or similar)
• Fluency with AI tools as part of the PM workflow, with ability to help others adopt them
• Strong analytical skills, including data analysis and using SQL

Responsibilities

• Own the Credit Building vertical's product strategy and KPIs, shaping portfolio bets while balancing growth, profitability, user experience, and regulatory compliance
• Translate strategy into a prioritized roadmap and clear engineering requirements; mentor PMs across the department
• Use quantitative and qualitative data (A/B testing, usability studies, surveys) to form hypotheses and gain executive buy-in
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Engineering, Design, Analytics, Marketing, and Operations through influence
• Define adoption of AI-assisted workflows across the product organization beyond your immediate team
