Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Preconstruction Manager in Southeast Michigan (Novi) to lead estimating and preconstruction efforts from early concept through GMP. The role collaborates with operations and business development to ensure accurate pricing, risk management, and smooth project handoff.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in preconstruction/estimating, experience with general contractors, and a track record across commercial, industrial, healthcare, or institutional projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in preconstruction and/or estimating.
• Background with a general contractor or construction manager.
• Experience across commercial, industrial, healthcare, or institutional projects.
• Strong understanding of conceptual estimating and GMP development.
• Ability to lead, communicate, and build trust with internal teams and trade partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle preconstruction and estimating efforts.
• Develop conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates.
• Manage subcontractor outreach, scope review, and leveling.
• Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Collaborate with operations during project transition.
• Support client presentations and preconstruction meetings.
