Job summary

Greater Bergen REALTORS® is seeking a Public Relations and Media Coordinator to manage media campaigns, craft compelling content, and coordinate communications across print, online, and social channels. You will report to the Communications Manager and help build strong media relationships in a fast-paced association setting.

The role requires excellent writing and verbal skills, video content proficiency, and deep social media know-how, with a readiness to handle after-hours events and crisis

Qualifications

• Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills.
• Must be proficient in video and web content development.
• Deep understanding of social media best practices.

Responsibilities

• Reports directly to the Communications Manager on all projects and tasks.
• Identify press and media coverage opportunities through evolving issues.
• Develop content for print, online, and social media platforms and distribution channels.
• Ensure messages align with the association’s strategic plan, tone, mission, and vision.
• Serve as the media liaison to the association.
• Scan media marketplace to keep up to date on media trends.
• Manage association social media platforms, profiles and presence.
• Build long-term relationships with media outlets.
• Create dedicated campaign/target emails and association newsletters.
• Serve as staff liaison to committees and work groups.
• Create unique social media content highlighting association projects and events.
• Undertake other tasks as needed.
