Job summary

Lower Colorado River Authority seeks a Power Plant Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to manage maintenance planning and scheduling for a coal-fired Fayette Power Project. You will mastermind strategies, schedules, and resource plans to maximize equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency.

You’ll work with operations, maintenance, supply chain, and engineering teams to secure parts, tools, permits, and resources for planned and outage work, monitor budgets, and drive continuous improvement through

Qualifications

• Nine or more years of experience in plant operations, maintenance or engineering.
• A degree in power generation, engineering, business, science, math or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed maintenance work packages, job plans, and preventive maintenance strategies for critical plant equipment.
• Prioritize, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure efficient utilization of labor, materials, and resources.
• Manage maintenance backlogs, equipment history, regulatory compliance requirements, and work management processes using CMMS.
• Analyze equipment performance, maintenance trends, and failures to improve reliability and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, supply chain, and engineering teams to ensure required parts, tools, permits, and resources are available for scheduled, emergent, and/or forced outage work.
• Monitor maintenance budgets, labor forecasts, and key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Serve as a technical resource and collaborates with plant leadership to support safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operations.
