Job summary

Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education (HGSE) seeks a Portfolio Director for the Harvard Institutes of Higher Education (HIHE). You will design and implement a portfolio strategy to nurture, assess, and expand professional development offerings for higher education leaders across the US and globally, with programs in multiple modalities.

You will lead budgets, partnerships, and stakeholder relationships, collaborating with HGSE faculty and PPE leadership to ensure program quality,

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of college or university administrative or related experience.
  • Month and weekend hours during peak periods may be required.
  • Some travel required.
  • Candidates must submit a cover letter with resume.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a portfolio of executive education programs for higher education leaders globally.
  • Build relationships with lead organizations, colleges and universities to stay current on trends.
  • Collaborate with HGSE faculty to shape program objectives, audiences and presenters.
  • Develop strategic direction for portfolio size, coherence and quality in partnership with senior leaders.
  • Analyze data to inform PPE decisions on frequency, updates, and retirements.
  • Plan and execute program delivery across residential, online and blended modalities.
  • Oversee budgets and collaborate with Finance on cost-effective management.
