Job summary

Learfield seeks a Senior Director, Portfolio & Program Management to govern enterprise capacity, align priorities with execution, and deliver data-driven investment decisions. This charter-level role connects segment demand with engineering supply and serves as the single source of truth for leadership.

You will lead a cross-functional team, drive an operating model, and provide ongoing visibility into ROI and benefits realization for initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years leading a portfolio or PMO in a product-led, software-driven organization.
• Proven ability to translate business priorities into actionable portfolio decisions, including resource allocation and sequencing.
• Executive influence: strong presence with senior leadership and ability to influence without direct authority.
• Financial acumen: understanding of engineering investment economics including capex/opex and ROI analysis.
• Data & systems discipline: experience building scalable portfolio reporting.
• Operating cadence: design and sustain governance rhythms for accountability.
• Build & scale mindset: experience standing up new functions and growing them.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise capacity scorecard and ensure deployment aligns with priorities.
• Build and maintain the single source of truth for product development initiatives.
• Lead portfolio review forums and present data-backed options to leadership.
• Align resources to product domains and scale the PMO function.
• Identify capacity conflicts and risks early to enable proactive decisions.
• Establish scalable reporting standards and a lightweight operating model.
• Partner with Finance to integrate engineering investment tracking into portfolio reporting.
