Job summary

Capital One's Underwriting and Portfolio Management team seeks an Analyst to support underwriting new transactions and manage a growing loan portfolio for the Regional Commercial Bank. You will move beyond basics of credit risk, identifying risks and mitigants while escalating trends across deals and portfolios.

You will perform due diligence, financial analysis, build models, draft credit approval documents, coordinate closings, and mentor rotational analysts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in credit underwriting, portfolio management or asset management.

Responsibilities

• Perform due diligence on industry and company performance.
• Perform thorough financial analysis and identify disparities, risks, and mitigants.
• Prepare financial modeling inputs with little guidance; understand model mechanics.
• Analyze structuring options considering collateral and borrower valuation.
• Write and prepare the majority of the credit approval document; participate in deal reviews.
