Job summary

Science Applications International Corporation in Arlington, VA is seeking a National Policy Integration Analyst to support the Organizational and Management Policy Directorate within the Office of the Director of Administration and Management/Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD).

The role is 100% onsite at the Pentagon and focuses on tracking, supporting, and assessing strategic initiatives and senior leader decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Political Science or related field with 3 years experience; Masters and 1 year preferred
• Experience with the Department of Defense
• Ability to analyze with limited oversight from senior management, and present difficult concepts in simple terms
• Excellent communication skills and professionalism
• Familiarity with DoD-level strategy, policy, governance or resource allocation processes
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and common office software
• Background and training in knowledge management tools including MS SharePoint
• Required Clearance: Secret clearance to start; Top Secret clearance to maintain employment
• US citizenship

Responsibilities

• Support tracking, executing, and reporting on governance fora including the Secretary of Defense Large Group, DMAG, DWC and CWG
• Act as primary staffing element of governance processes; provide administrative, meeting operations support, and facilitate analytical support
• Assist with preparing briefing material for senior leadership decision making
• Conduct ad-hoc research and analyze mission-related issues
• Interact with DoD Components to gather information on status of strategic initiatives; compile data; support briefings and task development
• Prepare briefings on findings of significance related to office initiatives or proposals
• Utilize and maintain knowledge management/decision support tools, especially MS SharePoint, to track strategic actions
• Rapidly synthesize complex information for senior leader decision making
