Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare is seeking an experienced PMO Manager to lead the Portfolio & Project Management Office. You will establish project management standards, oversee intake and oversight, and guide delivery frameworks across the enterprise portfolio.

In this role, you will partner with operations to develop roadmaps, respond to healthcare and technology trends, and align initiatives with organizational strategy to ensure high-value projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS or a related field
• Seven years of comprehensive professional level experience
• Experience in a leadership role, preferably with direct reports
• Five years of demonstrated success in project management, operations planning, and/or process improvement
• Experience in Project and Portfolio management
• Certification/License Required: PMI PMP or equivalent within 1 year
• An approved equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Leads the Project Management team to define, communicate, and enforce project management processes and capacity planning to deliver exceptional value to the organization
• Coordinates enterprise portfolio prioritization, project approvals, and completion to balance value realization
• Acts as primary resource for executive communications and reporting on portfolio state and capacity planning
• Provides expert project management guidance to ensure successful management of projects and business solutions
• Designs practices and procedures for consistent tracking of projects, capacity, and major work
• Identifies capability strengths to inform strategic initiative planning and cross-enterprise opportunities
• Advises on governance, delivery frameworks, and methodologies for effective project oversight and management
• Collaborates with senior leadership to define strategic direction and roadmap for flawless service delivery and patient care
