Job summary

PSI in Nashville seeks a seasoned procurement professional to drive strategic sourcing of raw materials and indirect materials. You will manage supplier performance, cost reduction, and supply continuity across North America in collaboration with Procurement, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Quality, Sales, and Operations.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in plastics/chemicals procurement, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and proficiency with Dynamics 365 and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Strong plastics/chemicals procurement knowledge.
• Expertise in supplier relationship management and strategic sourcing.
• Understanding of global supply chain success factors.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Power BI.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Knowledge of market trends, contract law in purchasing.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing requirements for facilities in the USA.
• Maintain detailed vendor data, including specifications, pricing, performance, and contracts.
• Conduct market analysis to identify trends and cost drivers.
• Lead supplier selection, RFPs, total cost of ownership analyses, and negotiations.
• Build supplier relationships through visits, audits and performance reviews.
• Develop commodity strategies to maximize leverage and continuity of supply.
• Support material budget planning, cost forecasting, and KPIs.
• Lead negotiations, cost reduction workshops, and corrective actions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to mitigate supply risk and improve supplier performance.
