Job summary

PSI is seeking a skilled procurement leader to manage raw materials and indirect purchasing in North America. You will drive cost reductions, supplier performance, and supply continuity while aligning with regulatory and quality standards.

The ideal candidate brings plastics/chemical procurement expertise, strong data analysis, and collaboration across Procurement, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Operations to optimize the overall value chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of procurement experience; plastics or chemical industry background strongly preferred.
• Experience in supplier relationship management and strategic sourcing.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing requirements for our facilities in the USA.
• Maintain detailed vendor data including specifications, pricing history, contracts.
• Conduct market analysis to identify trends, cost drivers, and technology shifts.
• Lead supplier selection, total cost of ownership analyses, and contract negotiations.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through visits, audits, and performance evaluations.
• Develop commodity strategies to maximize purchasing leverage and continuity of supply.
• Support material budget planning, cost forecasting, and KPIs.
• Lead supplier negotiations and corrective action processes.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to mitigate supply risk and drive performance improvements.
