Job summary

Condair Operations, LLC seeks a results-driven Plant Buyer to manage procurement for plant operations and production. You will handle supplier management, sourcing, negotiations, inventory monitoring, and cost savings to ensure timely procurement. Location: Richmond, VA.

Requires 3+ years in purchasing within a manufacturing environment and a Bachelor's degree. Proficiency with MRP systems (SAP/Acumatica a plus) and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing/sourcing in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with MRP systems; SAP or Acumatica experience is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase materials, services, and supplies for plant operations.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely availability of materials.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive purchasing improvements.
• Analyze pricing, costs, inventory, and purchasing data to support decisions.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and other departments.
• Manage multiple priorities and resolve supplier or procurement issues.
• Follow purchasing, safety, compliance, and company policies.
• Continuously improve procurement processes and efficiency.
