Job summary

Solenis is seeking a Production Buyer for the Florence, KY site to coordinate procurement aligned with production schedules. You will review MRP, place POs, and manage supplier performance to meet weekly demand while collaborating with QA and_inventory teams.

Ideal candidates have a 3+ year manufacturing background, proficiency in SAP and MRP, and an Associate’s degree in a related field; APIC is a plus. Competitive benefits and a strong safety culture are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Supply Chain or business-related field or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, and MRP.
• Highly preferred – APIC certification.

Responsibilities

• Reviews MRP messages and generates purchase orders according to requirements.
• Coordinates deliveries on time to the plant per schedule requirements using Transportation Portal or direct with the vendor.
• Maintains item master parameters including lead time, minimum order, and safety stock.
• Provides effective dates for material changes and updates (bluebooks) for existing materials and new products.
• Manages inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations to reduce floor disruptions.
• Monitors inventory levels for opportunities to revise purchase plans and open POs.
• Works with QA on required samples for lab batching and with inventory clerk on vendor returns.
