Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in urban planning or related field with four years of experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to plan, organize, and supervise in a dynamic environment
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate long-range and strategic planning for the Township growth
• Prepare reports and recommendations for Planning Commission and Board
• Counsel and advise planners, developers, and officials on planning matters
• Identify grant opportunities and manage grant writing and administration
• Prepare notices and materials for Planning Commission meetings
• Assist residents and stakeholders with planning/zoning matters and provide excellent customer service
• Review site plans for compliance with policies and regulations
• Process zoning applications, variances, and notices
• Assist with department budget and capital improvements plan
• Draft and recommend ordinance amendments; support commissions
• Review applications and issue zoning permits; enforce ordinances
