Job summary

Travis County is seeking a Planning Project Manager to lead the Raising Travis County team, guiding out-of-school time investments with contract oversight and national best-practice benchmarking. You will supervise RTC staff, coordinate procurement, and facilitate public engagement as a county spokesperson.

This senior role requires strong project management, policy development, and collaboration across departments, partner agencies, and community groups to advance RTC initiatives in Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years increasing responsibility as Senior Planner, plus two years in project management.
• Master's degree and three years increasing responsibility as Senior Planner, plus two years in project management.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience to meet knowledge and abilities requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, design, and manage complex RTC projects with partners and community reps.
• Oversee long-term implementation planning and policy development for out-of-school time services.
• Lead scoping, deliverables, identifying tasks, resources, and progress monitoring.
• Lead procurement processes and programmatic contract management for RTC services.
• Represent the County and Department in public forums and with senior management.
