Job summary

Premier Candle Corporation in Kentucky seeks an experienced Planning & Procurement Manager to lead production planning, material procurement, and related systems at the Hickory facility. Reporting to Plant Manager, you will develop production plans balancing customer requirements, capacity, and inventory.

You will oversee MRP for Premier-owned and customer-owned materials, manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement across planning, procurement, and S&OP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Supply Chain/Operations/Manufacturing).
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years in Planning/Procurement leadership roles.
• Strong production planning, procurement, inventory, and MRP skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP/WMS systems (MASS, SAP, or similar).
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate weekly production plans based on customer requirements, capacity, and constraints.
• Monitor production performance and ensure alignment with the plan; highlight risks to leadership.
• Oversee MRP for Premier-owned and customer-owned materials; manage procurement activities.
• Serve as plant representative for S&OP and customer service; maintain strong customer relationships.
• Maintain system accuracy (BOMs, item setup, transactions) and support data-driven decisions.
• Lead, train, and develop Planning & Procurement staff; drive continuous improvement.
