Job summary

Transamerica in Denver is seeking a seasoned strategist to lead corporate development, strategy and sustainability initiatives. You will coordinate strategic programs across functional groups, drive portfolio management with the PMO and IT, and oversee governance and process improvements.

This hybrid role requires 10% travel and a Tue-Thu on-site schedule, with offices in Denver. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package and a bonus program for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
• Ten years of strategic planning experience, including five years managing complex multisystem and/or multiple department projects.
• Experience interviewing/negotiation, coordinating large/small meetings, planning/organization, managing priorities and project staff, and analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate with all levels to guide strategic planning and execution.
• Proficiency using MS Office and project development/management tools.

Responsibilities

• Champion organizational change and promote accountability, collaboration and customer service excellence.
• Coordinate strategic initiatives across functional groups and teams.
• Facilitate the project portfolio management process with the PMO and IT, including prioritization, business case development, resource planning and benefits realization analysis.
• Manage interdependencies and critical milestones across initiatives, including risk management and change control.
• Maintain a dashboard of strategic initiatives and drive process improvements.
• Define and implement program management methodologies, tools and governance.
• Oversee process improvement initiatives and ensure goals/objectives are met.
• Lead decision-making and communications during all project phases; support intake, prioritization, discovery and budgeting.
