Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Planning and Policy Officer to support a mission-focused team delivering strategic planning, policy development, and operational support for a U.S. government customer.

The role emphasizes clear, concise policy guidance and documentation for continuity of operations and mission readiness. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, develop SOPs/CONOPS, and prepare materials for leadership audiences while ensuring high standards of clarity and presentation.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; substitution allowed with experience.
• 5+ years of experience in military planning, intelligence, continuity, or policy development.
• Strong written communication and ability to produce clear SOPs, CONOPS, and plans.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develop written products supporting policy initiatives and planning documents.
• Collaborate with SMEs to collect inputs and produce integrated documentation.
• Support continuity of operations, emergency management, and strategic policy.
• Apply BLUF writing style to address who, what, where, when, why, how.
• Coordinate document development across offices to ensure accuracy and alignment.
• Prepare briefing materials for senior government leadership.
• Ensure documents meet customer standards and clarity.
