Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Planning & Operations within the Digital Product Management organization. You will partner with the VP and senior leaders to translate strategy into priorities, plans, and measurable outcomes, driving AI-enabled initiatives and cross-functional programs.

You will shape annual operating rhythms, support budgeting and talent actions, and craft executive communications.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 2+ years of strategic planning, business operations, or consulting experience
• Master’s degree and 4+ years of the same experience
• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience
• MBA or advanced degree in strategy, management, or related field (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic and operational support to the VP and senior leadership team
• Translate strategic priorities into measurable goals, action plans, milestones, KPIs, and accountability frameworks
• Serve as a trusted advisor on portfolio, organizational, capability, and investment decisions
• Shape and run annual operating rhythms (LT offsites, staff meetings, and readouts)
• Manage day-to-day execution of departmental strategy and coordinate leadership meetings
• Develop executive-level presentations and governance materials
• Lead departmental communications strategy and content calendar
