Our client is looking for a Strategic Planning Manager to work closely with the CEO and executive leadership team, playing a pivotal role in shaping company priorities, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence during a period of significant growth and investment. This high-visibility role offers a rare opportunity to work directly with senior leadership, contribute to key business decisions, and influence the company’s long-term trajectory.

Main Responsibilities

  • Executive Support: Provide day-to-day assistance to the CEO, including calendar management, meeting preparation, and follow-up actions.
  • Strategic Coordination: Collaborate with leadership teams to track progress on company initiatives and ensure alignment with the CEO’s objectives.
  • Communication: Draft high-level presentations, reports, speeches, and correspondence; act as liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Operational Oversight: Monitor KPIs, produce performance dashboards, and deliver insights on operational and financial trends.
  • Meeting Preparation: Develop agendas, talking points, and briefing materials for board meetings, investor calls, and internal reviews.
  • Confidentiality & Judgment: Handle sensitive information with discretion and exercise sound decision-making at all times.

What Makes This Role Unique

  • High visibility to C-suite and executive leadership, offering recognition and direct impact on strategic initiatives.
  • Cross-functional collaboration across departments, fostering broad business exposure and professional growth.
  • Clear opportunities for internal advancement based on merit and performance—past employees in this role have been promoted by the current CEO.
  • Company undergoing rapid expansion with significant investment, new leadership, and a focus on upgrading executive capabilities and infrastructure.

Candidate Profile

  • 2+ years in executive support, project management, strategy, or operations—ideally within manufacturing, industrial environments, or management consulting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Management, Finance, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain professionalism and discretion.
  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • Experience in the steel or heavy manufacturing industry.
  • Exposure to C-suite decision-making and board-level communication.
