Job summary

Advantest America Inc. in the United States seeks a Scheduling Specialist to develop, maintain, and optimize production plans in an electronics manufacturing environment.

This role ensures efficient capacity use, timely material availability, and adherence to customer delivery commitments. The specialist collaborates with production, engineering, purchasing, and quality teams to align demand, capacity, and resources while driving schedule stability and throughput.

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
• Understanding of SMT processes and manufacturing constraints.
• Experience with Excel and data analysis for scheduling.
• Knowledge of BOM structures and build packages.
• Strong coordination and communication across functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed production schedules based on demand, orders, and capacity.
• Maintain MPS and shop floor schedules and balance workloads across SMT, assembly, testing, and packaging.
• Collaborate with purchasing and material planning to ensure component availability.
• Track progress, adjust schedules for downtime, quality holds, or delays.
• Prepare daily/weekly schedule reports and support problem resolution.
• Support NPI planning to integrate new builds into production.
