Job summary

BKF Engineers is seeking a seasoned Business Sector Lead of Planning to drive strategic growth across Agency Staffing, Community Planning, Environmental Compliance, Housing, and Natural Resources. You will report to the Executive VP of Planning and Government Solutions, guiding planning across Transportation, Water, Land Development, and Energy sectors.

Qualifications

• 15 years leading complex projects with 5+ years in senior leadership and P&L responsibility.
• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management in public/private sectors.
• Strong strategic planning, organizational leadership, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a multi-year strategic plan for the Planning sector.
• Identify growth opportunities, geographic expansion and major pursuits.
• Lead acquisitions integration to unlock synergies and growth.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing planning team.
• Oversee resources to ensure project success and operational efficiency.
• Manage P&L, pricing strategies, and KPI performance for the sector.
