Job summary

American Electric Power seeks a Planning Analysis & Reporting Lead to coordinate budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and management reporting for multiple Customer groups and operating companies. You will drive financial forecasts, support executive reporting, and oversee improvement initiatives within budgeting and accounting processes.

The role requires a strong background in finance/accounting, and experience with budgets, forecasting, and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Business, Accounting, Finance or Engineering with related experience.
• MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
• Proficiency in UI Budgets, PeopleSoft, Microsoft Office, and Business Objects reporting.
• Familiarity with AEP accounting and Chartfields; leadership experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate budgets, forecasts, and variance explanations for each Customer; prepare financial and project reports and analyses.
• Perform key financial and accounting analyses as needed.
• Develop new budgeting procedures; collaborate with Accounting on procedures.
