AEP in New Albany, OH seeks a Financial Analyst Staff to prepare forecasts, report variances, file regulatory documents, and analyze strategic opportunities. You will mentor staff and deliver insights to executives, supporting decision making and efficiency initiatives.

The role requires a finance-related degree, 8+ years in energy/utility, and strong modeling skills. MBA or related certifications are preferred. This is a full-time on-site position in New Albany, Ohio.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, mathematics, or related quantitative field is required.
8+ years of work experience in the energy and/or utility sector is required.
MBA, CPA, CMA, CIA, PE, CFP or other professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare financial forecasts, variance analyses, regulatory filings, and ad hoc analyses of strategic opportunities.
Analyze and make recommendations on regulatory and general business strategy.
Develop/manage staff where applicable and mentor analysts.
Prepare and present reports to executive management and Board of Directors.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and revenue enhancement.
Develop, maintain, and enhance sophisticated financial models including pro forma statements and scenario analyses.
Improve financial analysis processes with automation, accuracy, and efficiency.
