Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Sr. Director of Strategic Planning to join the Strategy, Marketing & Operations team. This individual contributor role reports to the VP of Strategic Planning and Management, shaping near-term priorities and a 3-5 year plan across SCS sub-segments.

The role requires strong strategic instincts, analytical rigor, executive presence, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while influencing senior leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent and typically requires 10+ years of strategy or consulting experience, or relevant healthcare industry experience.
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive macro-level strategic direction for SCS's sub-segments, translating market and competitive insight into where-to-play and how-to-win choices.
• Develop long-range (3-5 year) strategy with segment leaders and Strategy & Transformation team.
• Provide analytical frameworks, synthesized recommendations, and scenario-based perspectives to improve decision quality and speed.
