Job summary

Yale University is seeking an Associate Director of Planning and Construction in New Haven. You will develop and monitor formulation, programming, cash flow, design and construction management for high‑level projects, collaborating with senior directors to align planning with strategic goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in architecture, urban or regional planning, urban design, civil engineering, or related field.
Minimum ten years of related planning, design and project management experience.

Responsibilities

Direct planning studies, formulations and design of projects and provide design direction.
Prioritize design resources and manage formulation and design processes.
Coordinate with project architects/consultants and committees across project phases.
Develop and present comprehensive departmental planning, implementation and financial strategies.
Oversee input from faculty and staff and manage consultant activities and selection.
Ensure projects meet budget, schedule, codes and university standards.
