Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command seeks a Strategic Planner/Communications (GS-0301-13) to lead strategic communication planning for the Defense Personal Property Program (DP3).

Key Responsibilities

As a STRATEGIC PLANNER/COMMUNICATIONS at the GS-0301-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: This position supports the Personal Property Activity. Conducts strategic communication planning and executes approved plans that enhance the Defense Personal Property Program (DP3). Researches and conducts analysis to generate recommendations to the Strategic Engagements Chief and other DP3 stakeholders on communication plans and strategies.

Develops briefs for the J9, Joint Staff, OSD, Service headquarters and other Commanders on DP3 program initiatives and progress.

Applies a working knowledge of research methodologies coupled with a high level of expertise in communication skills and strategic thinking to incorporate historical and factual analysis in support of both the Director/Commander's presentations and decision making; providing rapid, incisive, executive-level analysis and in response to the Director's requests for an independent perspective.

Technical expert and authority on all strategic communication matters to include establishing policy and procedures for interaction with Congress, Congressional staff members, DoD leadership, other military Services, preparing written and oral responses to inquiries, advising and preparing the J9 Director.

Represents the command as lead Strategic Communication expert for the Defense Personal Property Directorate charged with establishing and maintaining effective working relationships within USTRANSCOM, Transportation Component Commands (TCCs), Unified Commands, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Staff, Military Services, General Services Administration, other DoD and Federal level agencies and commercial transportation organizations.
