Job summary

Bowdoin College is seeking a Gift Planning Officer to join the Gift Planning department. The role reports to the Director of Gift Planning and collaborates with the gift planning team on all aspects of the program, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors to maximize annual, capital, and planned gifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in philanthropy or fundraising is desired.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors.
• Develop long-term donor relationships and manage major gifts.
• Travel 20–25% to engage donors and advisers.
• Support marketing/communications and annual giving plans.
