Bowdoin College seeks a Leadership Gift Officer to secure major gifts and cultivate long-term donor relationships within the Bowdoin network. The role requires travel up to 40% and collaboration across development, alumni relations, and campus partners.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in fundraising, strong communication, and a passion for Bowdoin’s mission. Hybrid work in Maine is available after adaptation; a bachelor’s degree is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Ability to cultivate and build relationships with high-end donors for identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
• Excellent writing and speaking skills are necessary.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
• Familiarity with computer systems and willingness to use them.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and in a team.

Responsabilités

• Developing and executing strategies to secure support from major gifts ($100,000+).
• Managing a personal caseload of prospects and donor relationships with the College.
• Preparing reports, briefings, proposals for solicitation of major gifts.
• Scheduling visits for a broad campus leadership team and donors.
• Articulating Bowdoin College’s mission to alumni, parents, and friends.
