Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Vendor Manager to lead the pharmacy division's vendor portfolio, ensuring value-driven outsourced relationships through onboarding, process alignment, and performance reporting.

You will liaise between business leads, vendors, and internal teams, contribute to contract discussions, monitor performance, and drive service improvements to meet contract outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree required or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a related field; in lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day relationship between business and vendor(s) to ensure seamless and effective delivery of outsourced services.
• Serve as primary liaison between vendor and business stakeholders; communicate performance updates, manage capacity and demand, and remediate escalations.
• Facilitate vendor onboarding through communications, site visits and training; educate vendor on program details and transitions.
• Define business requirements with stakeholders and work with vendors to improve capabilities.
• Analyze performance data to identify gaps and drive process improvements or interventions.
• Review vendor work for quality and manage service improvement plans.
• Contribute inputs to vendor contract negotiations to align with business strategy.
• Collaborate with internal partners on vendor strategy using data and insights.
