Job summary

Duke Health seeks a Performance Management and Total Rewards Specialist to develop and lead compensation and performance initiatives across the organization. You will ensure pay-for-performance programs align with goals and oversee leadership compensation administration.

Collaborating with HR and Payroll, you will design special pay policies, support executive reviews, and provide technical guidance while ensuring compliance and timely communications with leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 4 years of related experience; 5 years preferred in HR with compensation & performance management.
• Academic medical center or health system experience strongly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of compensation and performance management programs.
• Experience in change management, leadership education, and communication planning.
• Ability to provide technical assistance and programmatic support for evaluation processes.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead compensation and performance initiatives across the organization.
• Provide programmatic support for the Performance Management program, including evaluations.
• Collaborate with Rewards & Recognition during salary setting to ensure transparency and fairness.
• Deliver leadership education, change management strategies, and communication plans for program adoption.
• Oversee total rewards initiatives and specialized pay policies.
• Advise on leader salary offers and program participation levels, and collaborate on executive role architecture.
