Form Energy is seeking a strategic HR partner to support its California leaders, focusing on Product Engineering in Berkeley, CA. You will act as a player-coach, advising on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management while also solving on-the-ground issues like performance management and employee relations.

This role requires 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in product or engineering settings within a high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years supporting a product or engineering organization in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
• Strong business acumen and ability to connect People strategy to business outcomes.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust with senior leaders.
• Builder's mindset with ability to create programs from scratch and identify process improvements.
• Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• Solid knowledge of California and federal labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic partner and coach to senior leadership, including CA site leaders, advising on org design, workforce planning, and change initiatives.
• Drive talent programs such as performance management, career pathing, and succession planning.
• Function as a visible site HR presence for California, driving engagement and alignment across teams.
• Provide guidance on employee relations issues and conduct investigations with appropriate closure.
• Use People data and analytics to inform decisions and identify trends.
• Collaborate with COEs (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Benefits & Support) to design and deliver seamless People programs.
